The next COREnet Advisinar will take place on Monday, 16 February 2026, as part of the Local Food Advisors’ Journey 2026.
The webinar will focus on shared local facilities for saving costs in manufacturing, highlighting the Austrian mobile slaughtering facility as a best practice, alongside additional examples from the Netherlands. The advisinar will explore different ways of organising shared processing solutions for small farmers, with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency, regional value creation, and animal welfare.
A key case study will feature Maschinenring Tyrol, one of the region’s leading service providers. Through its mobile poultry slaughtering service, Maschinenring supports direct marketing at farm level, avoids unnecessary animal transport, and helps ensure that added value remains on the farm.
