CORENET STORIES – THE MULTI-ACTOR APPROACH EXPLAINED BY EVA JENNINGS

Watch the COREnet interview of Eva Jennings about the implementation of the Multi-Actor approach within the project

How can short food supply chains be developed and supported in a thorough way?

Eva Jeggins, a researcher at Teagasc, discusses how the Multi-Actor approach can effectively address challenges within Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs). Given the diverse range of stakeholders involved in the process and across practices—such as farmers, advisors, researchers, and others—it is essential to have a well-functioning supply chain.

The Multi-Actor approach fosters collaboration among stakeholders with different backgrounds, expertise, and roles. This cooperation is crucial for organizing successful farmers’ markets, with agricultural advisors, marketing professionals, and farmers working together at both local and international levels.

This approach is implemented within the framework of the COREnet project, which aims to enhance advisory services and establish a systemic approach to agri-food practices.
