CORENET PARTICIPATES TO THE SFS INNOVATION PLATFORM ONLINE EVENT: AN OPEN DISCUSSION ON THE FUTURE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING PLATFORMS

On June 5, COREnet co-organised as a managing project the Sustainable Food System (SFS) Innovation Platform online event, presenting the platform functionalities and actively participating to the panel discussion

The online event started off with a hands-on overview of how the platform works. Leonardo Improta responsible for COREnet communication and dissemination activities and chair of the SFS Innovation Platform, demonstrated the platform’s features, guiding viewers through its various sections. The SFS Innovation Platform is a joint effort between different projects, and it is aimed at the sustainability of knowledge from European projects in the field of innovative food systems by sharing their activities and results, even after the end of projects.

The event then featured a panel discussion highlighting how innovation, community collaboration, and AI-driven knowledge sharing can address real-world challenges in the sector and especially within the knowledge sharing platform ecosystem. Experts emphasized the importance of transparency, trust, and inclusive governance to ensure diverse voices shape effective solutions.

Among the panelists, Christian Jochum, a COREnet partner from the University College of Agricultural and Environmental Education, emphasized the importance of fostering communities and movements that thrive collaboration, exchange, and synergy to drive innovation.

A core focus centered on the real impact of these knowledge sharing platforms, which should rely on transparency and the capacity to translate knowledge into actionable results.
