CORENET ADVISORY SUPPORT FOR SHORT FOOD SUPPLY CHAINS AT FEEDING OURSELVES 2026

COREnet joined the EU4Advice Living Lab in a special session exploring how advisory services can strengthen short food supply chains and support their integration into AKIS.

COREnet took part in Feeding Ourselves 2026 in Cloughjordan, Ireland, where it collaborated with the EU4Advice Living Lab in Ireland on a special session focused on advisory supports for Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs) and their integration into the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS).

Feeding Ourselves is an annual gathering that brings together local food producers, community food advocates, researchers, advisors, facilitators and campaigners to exchange ideas and strengthen local food systems. The four-day event included workshops, discussions, networking opportunities and community-led activities centred on food sovereignty, agroecology, land use and local food futures.

As part of the programme, COREnet and EU4Advice contributed to a workshop dedicated to the role of advisory services in supporting short food supply chains and helping local food systems become more viable, connected and resilient. The session created an opportunity to share experience, encourage dialogue among stakeholders and highlight the importance of stronger advisory frameworks for the development of sustainable local food economies.

COREnet is pleased to renew its collaboration with EU4Advice through this important exchange.
