CORENET AT THE FOOD 2030 NETWORKS CONFERENCE

Strengthening collaboration and advancing the EU SFSC Advisory Network in Copenhagen

On 2-4 th December, COREnet attended the FOOD 2030 Networks Conference organised in Copenhagen by the CLEVERFOOD project and the University of Copenhagen, convening key actors from across Europe for a three-day event to accelerate collaboration and strengthen impact within the FOOD2030 community. More than 150 representatives from 3 networks, 130 projects and 90 living labs were present at the event.

During the first day, Fedele Colantuono from the Università di Foggia, COREnet project manager, participated to different parallel workshops to understand new methodologies for the multiactor approach. During the open session dedicated to poster presentations, Fedele presented COREnet and EU4Advice joint poster COREnet & EU4Advice paving the way for the EU SFSC Advisory Network. The presentation was a useful moment to attract people’s interest to the projects network and share its goals.

The second day was dedicated to the workshop Transformative Governance for Food Systems and Biodiversity Conferencewithin the framework of the Danish EU Presidency Conference. The event was full of high value keynotes, policy dialogues, and inspiring workshops. Themes ranged from food research and innovation, aimed at understanding transformative governance, to bridging the gap between policy and implementation toward fair and resilient food systems.

The final day served as a think tank and a space for generating new ideas and connections among the participants. This was facilitated by a structured networking system in which everyone was actively involved and free to connect with peers, exchange knowledge, and explore new partnerships for future projects and collaborations.

COREnet and EU4Advice projects were represented by Fedele, Yuna Chiffoleau (INRAE), Agnes Major (Kisleptek), Sofia Reis (Iseki Food) and Mark Frederiks (Amped), fostering collaboration among  policymakers, researchers and practitioners attending the event, and spreading the EU SFSC Advisory Network.
